Dane Kamin joined Population Connection in 2016 and swiftly became one of our most active volunteers, both in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri and, in fact, the entire U.S.!
Dane’s career, hobbies, and local involvement have all played a role in increasing his awareness of environmental issues as well as the demands population growth puts on our natural resources.
Roseberline first made the population connection while volunteering with non-profit organizations and seeing firsthand the effect of US policies on international development. As she worked on improving the health of those in Haiti, she discovered the problems and solutions are all interconnected. She realized that you could not improve the health of a community without addressing environmental issues, standing up for reproductive rights, and recognizing the importance of population stabilization. She brings her passion and experience to the membership relations team in order to help members bring light to these issues in their communities.
Alyssa first made the population connection as a child raising rabbits in 4-H and later refined that connection in her high school’s AP Environmental Science class while learning about resource sustainability and access to basic needs. She later studied International Studies and Political Science with a focus in Latin America while at UC San Diego and further realized how everything is related. She is excited to incorporate her international knowledge and previous nonprofit experience in her role assisting members as they engage their communities.
