World Pop Day Film Screening – Portland, OR
July 11, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join volunteer Jerry and other local Population Connection members for a film screening of Mother: Caring for 7 Billion in honor of World Population Day (July 11th) at the Portland Community College’s Cascade Campus at Terrell Hall (TH) 101 Classroom.
This award-winning film explores how population growth intersects with gender equity, religion, reproductive health, economic inequality, and the environment. It features the stories of real women breaking free of gendered expectations to have large families, as well as insights from experts and scientists. Mother is an engaging film sure to foster a lively discussion about the ways rapid population growth is impacting the health of our planet.
