AGENDA  FAQ

Capitol Hill Days 2019 has ended. Read our recap here, and please join us next year!

Reproductive rights are under attack in the United States and around the world, thanks to the Trump administration’s cruel and regressive agenda.

It is imperative that we stand up for universal affordable access to birth control and safe abortion, and for the right of every person to determine their own reproductive destiny.

Each year, Population Connection and Population Connection Action Fund bring advocates from across the country and around the world to Washington, DC, to stand up for reproductive rights. Through a weekend of hands-on advocacy training and informational workshops, participants learn how to:

  1. Talk about the importance of unfettered access to reproductive health and rights through storytelling;
  2. Effectively urge their elected officials to support greater investment in international reproductive health and family planning programs; and
  3. Stay engaged in advocacy on these and related issues, locally, year-round.

On the final day of Capitol Hill Days, participants meet with their senators and representatives on Capitol Hill to demand permanent repeal of Trump’s Global Gag Rule, and for a greater U.S. investment in reproductive health and family planning education, services, and supplies around the world.
